United Kingdom Political system

United Kingdom Britain - a constitutional monarchy, the head of state is Queen Elizabeth II. Although the monarchy and devoid of real political power, however, the Queen remains an integral part of the British way of life, in many ways defined the political life of the country and national identity. Legislative power is vested in a bicameral parliament (House of Commons and the House of Lords). Cabinet of Ministers (the executive) is formed by prime minister - the leader of the majority party in Parliament. Under the control of the UK are 13 dependent territories - Gibraltar, Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin, Cayman, Turks and Caicos Islands, Montserrat and the Falkland Islands (Malvinas) Islands and other territories.
