United Republic of Tanzania - the state in East Africa. The name came from merging two independent African states of Tanganyika and o.Zanzibara. From Tanganyika took "Tang", from Zanzibar - "Zan". Thus comes the name - Tanzania. To the north of Uganda, north-east - with Kenya, in the south - with Mozambique, in south-west - with Malawi and Zambia in the north-west - with Burundi and Rwanda.
