Insurance health care system. First aid will be provided free of charge, for a more thorough examination fee is charged. Foreigners are advised to refer only to special hospitals (Hospital Boris Kidrich, Klinichki Centar, etc.).

Advice for foreigners is about 3-10 euros depending on the disease. In each community (subdivision) has a public polyclinic ( "House of health"), which will be provided a qualified first aid. Almost everywhere in cities and large towns are the doctors engaged in private practice.

Most clinics is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 7.00 to 13.00-17.00. Chemists have and state (usually in the room "houses of health"), and private. The range of drugs, both local and foreign, is quite extensive.
