Shops are generally open from 9.00 am to 17.00 (in Port-Louis) or from 10.00 to 18.00 (other cities) on weekdays, Saturdays - from 12.00 to 17.00 in the capital and other cities are usually open longer. Stores operate on Sundays - from 9.00 to 12.00. Once a week (usually on Thursday afternoons) stores have a "cleaning day".
