Tropical marine, hot but easy to carry due to abundant moisture brought by trade winds from the ocean. Summer (November to April) are hot and humid - 25 C night, +30 C and above during the day, humidity is 80%. Winter (May to October) cooler - 17 C night, 23 C day, and more dry. Weather during the day may change several times, but cold does not happen ever. Precipitation from 1500 (the western and northern parts of the island) to 5000 (East) mm. per year, mostly in the period from December to March. Frequency of cyclones lasts from December to mid April, but the destructive power they usually do not. Best time to visit Mauritius - September-November and April-June.
