The best known of the buildings of that time are the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Cathedral of St. Catherine (acting). The basilica was built in 16 century, here in the gilded coffin contains the body of St. Francis Xavier. The cathedral is famous for its five bells, one of which, "Golden Bell", the biggest in Goa and one of the best in the world.
