Iceland Political system

Iceland - Republic with a presidential form of government. Executive power in the country is in the hands of the President and the Government. Legislative power is vested in the President and a unicameral parliament - Althing (63 deputies, elected as president for a term of four years). Administrative-territorial division of the country - 23 area (Sisley), including 124 rural communities and cities.
