Germany Germany enters the Schengen zone. Citizens of Russia require a visa, which can be obtained from the consulates of Germany.

There are two types of visas: Schengen visa and the National Germany visa. They differ in duration and scope, as well as processing time:

Schengen visa
Schengen visa is valid for stays of a maximum of 90 days within six months and entitles either single or multiple entries into Germany. Applies to all Schengen states - Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Finland, France and Sweden. Schengen visa is issued within 1-3 working days, the request for her extradition can be filled out in both German and in Russian.

National Germany visa
National Germany Visa will have an initial limit of three months, but in contrast to the Schengen visa can be extended Germany's competent authority for foreigners in accordance with the purpose of your stay. National visa valid only for Germany. Application for the extradition of a national Germanic visa is filled only in German. Minimum clearance - 5 days.

Required Documents
To obtain a visa for a private trip should have:
• passport
• passport and copies of pages of personal data and residence registration
• visa application form in 2 copies, in the completed form, personally signed, with two photographs pasted and one additional photograph for visa
• a completed agreement that the applicant is familiar with (in particular paragraph 55) "Law on the Stay"
• invitation indicating the purpose, location and timing of visits, as well as the obligation of the sponsor to assume all costs incurred, including medical care. Signature of the sponsor must be certified by Germany's Office for Foreigners. The invitation was accepted only in the form of the original, and additionally should provide a copy of
guarantee the return of the host country, such as proof of regular income in the form of certificate of employment indicating salary (original) with presentation of the work book (the original and simple copy), perhaps a certificate of registration of own firm (the original and simple copy), papers ownership of housing, as well as documents on family status (marriage certificate, birth certificates of children)
• the original and a copy of a medical insurance policy for all types of assistance for the entire period of stay in Schengen, valid in all Schengen countries, with insurance coverage of not less than 30.000 Euro
Consular fee
• All corrections in the invitations are accepted by fax (with the obligatory indication of the number of the case) or in person. In the case of sending documents by fax, if sent the documents are inadequate or wrong, very high chance of failure. If the paperwork or completeness is not enough to be assigned a new date for the interview (paid consular fee in this case is not refundable).

To obtain a tourist visa for travel, not booked through the travel agency must have:
• passport and a copy of pages of personal data
• passport and copies of pages of personal data and residence registration
• visa application form in 2 copies, in the completed form, personally signed, with two photographs pasted and one additional photograph for visa
• a completed agreement that the applicant is familiar with (in particular paragraph 55) "Law on the Stay"
• reaffirmation of the goal and itinerary
• confirmation of accommodation in Germany (name and address of the hotel / guesthouse, as well as confirmation of payment of the hotel by fax)
• type of transport, which will be round trip, while traveling by bus or plane to the company's name
• confirmation of funding: must submit evidence of at least 50 euros per day of travel / residence (current bank statement, certificate for the purchase of currency, traveler's checks)
• guarantees the return of the host country, such as proof of regular income in the form of certificate of employment indicating salary (original) with presentation of the work book (the original and simple copy), perhaps a certificate of registration of own firm (the original and simple copy), papers ownership of housing, as well as documents on family status (marriage certificate, birth certificates of children)
• the original and a copy of a medical insurance policy for all types of assistance for the entire period of stay in Schengen, valid in all Schengen countries, with insurance coverage of not less than 30.000 Euro
• Consular fee.

For registration of children under 18 need a notarized document, expressing the consent of the persons with parental or guardianship rights, to leave the child and a copy of this statement.

Visa-free transit is not allowed. For transit trips would be required:
• passport and a copy of pages of personal data
• passport and copies of pages of personal data and residence registration
• visa application form in 2 copies, in the completed form, personally signed, with two photographs pasted and one additional photograph for visa
• a completed agreement that the applicant is familiar with (in particular paragraph 55) "Law on the Stay"
• rail or air tickets in both ends of the original and a copy
• If there is, the visa of the country of destination and its copy
• the original and a copy of a medical insurance policy for all types of assistance for the entire period of stay in Schengen, valid in all Schengen countries, with insurance coverage of not less than 30.000 Euro
• Consular fee.
In some cases, may be required additional documents. Presentation of false documents may lead to a ban on entry into Germany for a period not less than a year. Immigration authorities may deny entry into the country, despite having a valid visa.
