French Polynesia Visa to French Polynesia, fully referred to as "visa for travel to the overseas territories of France, is made in the French Embassy, the Department of the Overseas Territories of France. Plain French visa is not valid.

Tourist Visa
For tourist visa must submit the following documents:
• A completed and signed application form;
• Original passport valid for at least 3 months after the expiry of the visa;
• Photocopy all pages of ordinary passports with a clearly visible stamp of registration;
• Two color photographs measuring 35 by 45 mm on a light monotone background, made recently, and having a maximum similarity with the applicant (one affixed to the questionnaire, the other is attached separately);
• A certificate from the employer on company letterhead indicating the position and salary, with the seal and signature of the person (for students - a certificate from the institution);
• Medical insurance for the international sample.
You also need to justify the trip motive (required turvaucher, hotel reservation or letter of guarantee from the local tourist organization), to prove the existence of the necessary funding for the entire period of stay, and to provide assurance of return or to produce a plane ticket there and back.

For children under 18 years of traveling with a parent, you need a birth certificate and notarized authorization to travel from the second parent. If a child is traveling without a parent, you need a notarized and translated into French delegation of parental authority in the accompanying person, or on the receiving side. In turn, from the accompanying person requires a notarized document with the translation into French of the agreement of the adoption of parental authority. These items may be included in the exit permit, or take the form of three separate documents. You'll also need a photocopy of a sheet of domestic or foreign passport with a parent's signature of the owner.

Visa-free transit is not allowed. The transit visa is not required for those passengers who continue their journey to a third country within 3 hours after crossing the border of French Polynesia in the same flight, and do not leave the transit area of the airport.
